Individual Medicare Supplemental Coverage

[Medigap Supplement, Med Advantage/Part C and Prescription/Part D insurance programs]

  • Medicare Supplement [Medigap Supplement] – these programs generally help fill the “gaps” in Original Medicare as original Medicare pays for much but not all, of the cost for covered health care services and supplies.
  • Part D –[Medicare drug coverage] helps cover cost of prescription drugs and may lower your costs.
  • Med Advantage plans [Part C] are a form of private health insurance that provide the same coverage as Medicare Part A and Part B [Original Medicare] and may include additional benefits such as prescription drug coverage, vison, and dental coverage. Sometimes referred to as all-in-one plans that combine the coverage of Original Medicare [Part A and Part B] with extra benefits. Most often include Part D prescription drug coverage and may also offer additional benefits such as dental, vision, hearing, and fitness.
